Among 60 and 70 Italy, too, discovered the thrill of the great musical gatherings, in the wake of what was happening in the U.S. and the UK. Unforgettable years, Matteo Guarnaccia recounts in "Re Nudo & other Pop Festival - The dream of Woodstock in Italy 1968-1976" box set consisting of books, DVDs and CDs, and dedicated to the main Italian festivals of the period, many of whom organized by the magazine Re Nudo.



Presentation to the Florentine public Friday, January 28, at 18, the Melbookstore (via de 'Cerretani 16r - admission free). In addition to the author and publisher Claudio Fucci, there will be Valcarenghi Majid, Bruno Casini, Massimo and Massimo Altomare Pirotta. Meeting organized in collaboration with Associazione Toscana Music.



Listed artist and author of many publications, Matteo Guarnaccia has played the dual role of researcher and leader: it was a direct witness of the season of Pop Festival, but has since done a thorough study of those events. Inevitable comparisons with the equally successful season of big rallies overseas and across the Channel. The book also offers the writings of other journalists and musicians such as Massimo Pirotta, Enzo Gentile, Majid Valcarenghi, Bruno Casini Claudio Rocchi Claudio Fucci (who with his publishing house Editions Vololibero has published the box).



the DVD images of the Festival Alpe Del Viceroy of 1973 and interviews with players of the time (Posies, Massimo Villa ...). The CD offers instead a series of unpublished musicians around King Nude: Franco Battiato, Garybaldi, like the leaves, Ricky Gianco ...



"Re Nudo and other Pop Festival" was awarded the Note Paper Award 2010 as best book of the musical part of the review "a book in Milan - National exhibition of small and medium publishers" promoted by the magazine The Island that was not there. Among the various awards including a special mention to the latest edition of MEI, Meeting of the Independents.



Matteo Guarnaccia (Milan 1954), a reference figure of visionary contemporary culture, is active in the field of (international exhibitions, installations at the Triennale di Milano and the San Francisco Hall of Flowers), fashion (Biba, Corso Como 10, Vivienne Westwood, Malo) design (Bruno Munari, Atelier Mendini, Italo Rota & Partners Yoox, Coin), writing (essays on avant-garde / counterculture of the twentieth century), journalism (Vogue, Rolling Stone, Residential, Zoom, Gap Japan, Wired, D © La Repubblica, Alias), education (visiting professor at NABA, Domus Academy, Accademia Carrara, IUAV), the curator (exhibitions dedicated to Skate Art, the movement Provos, psychedelic, Vivienne Westwood, Giorgio Gaber) music (Byrds, Donovan, fear).
